Internship opportunity working with and learning from three resource team managers and providing manager coverage across the platform. Orchestrated Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) launch at Credit Valley Hospital (CVH) site THP in fall 2015. HELP is a volunteer based program for prevention of delirium and functional decline in hospitalized seniors. Role included education of unit staff regarding HELP, supervising and training volunteers to do specialized interventions with appropriate patients, geriatric screening and assessment, scheduling and coordinating volunteers and ensuring ongoing competency with assigned interventions.
