DANIELLE PIERCE, PT
ABOUT ME
My name is Danielle and I am a physiotherapist on a hospital leadership journey who is passionate about practice excellence and supporting healthcare teams. I use reflective writing as a tool for resilience and I recharge when spending time with my family outdoors.

I am registered in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and uphold the rules and regulations set out by my College. I have worked at Trillium Health Partners (THP) since May 2012 on several different inpatient units, most recently in Cardiology and ICU. Details of my clinical experience can be found here.

Throughout the pandemic, I have been proud to spread awareness of current public health regulations from Ontario Public Health and have spoken up to voice the realities of inpatient health care.
In January 2022, I was given the opportunity to take on a temporary role as Interim Manager Intern of the Clinical Resource Team. My internship taught me a huge amount in a short period of time about operational management and people leadership, and it prepared me well for my next endeavor. I am currently working as Interim Patient Care Manager on an inpatient medicine unit.

In order to support my leadership goals, I enrolled in the Masters of Health Studies program with a leadership focus at Athabasca University. I am excited to see how this will help me learn, grow, and further develop as a leader. My first course (MHST 601) has challenged me to expand my online/social media presence, including building this ePortfolio.

This page serves to highlight my professional experience and allows me to share my ongoing learning (including coursework) and post my reflections along the way.
